Platform Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Online

Last Updated: January 28th, 2025

1. Zero Tolerance Policy

Chirply has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Any violation will result in immediate and permanent account suspension, and we will report the incident to the relevant authorities.

  • Any content depicting or promoting CSAE is strictly prohibited.
  • Any attempts to groom, solicit, or exploit minors will result in immediate action.
  • Users found sharing or distributing such content will be reported to law enforcement.

2. Prohibited Content and Behaviour

Explicitly Prohibited Content

  • Images, videos, or text depicting child sexual abuse or exploitation.
  • Content that sexualises minors, including fictional depictions.
  • Links to external websites or platforms hosting such content.
  • Any form of child pornography or exploitative material.

Prohibited Behaviour

  • Engaging in conversations or interactions that sexualise minors.
  • Sharing or requesting explicit content involving minors.
  • Using the platform to facilitate or organise exploitative activities.
  • Creating or using accounts to impersonate minors for malicious purposes.

3. Reporting Mechanisms

How to Report

  • Use the in-app reporting tool to flag suspicious content or behaviour.
  • Provide as much detail as possible, including usernames, links, and descriptions.
  • If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement first.

What Happens After Reporting

  • Reports are reviewed by our team as quickly as possible.
  • All reports are treated with the utmost urgency and confidentiality.
  • If necessary, we will collaborate with law enforcement agencies.

4. Commitment to Safety

Chirply is committed to creating a safe environment for all users, especially minors. While we do not currently have automated content detection systems or partnerships with third-party organisations, we rely on our community to help us identify and address violations.

  • We encourage users to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
  • We are actively exploring ways to improve our ability to detect and prevent CSAE.
  • Your reports play a crucial role in keeping our platform safe.

5. Consequences of Violations

Any violation of these standards will result in severe consequences, including but not limited to:

  • Immediate and permanent account suspension.
  • Reporting of the incident to law enforcement agencies.
  • Legal action against the individual(s) involved.
  • Public disclosure of the violation, if necessary.

6. Future Improvements

While we currently rely on manual review and community reporting, we are committed to improving our systems over time. This includes:

  • Exploring the implementation of content detection technologies.
  • Developing educational resources to help users recognise and report CSAE.
  • Considering partnerships with organisations dedicated to combating online exploitation.
